WEEK 9 - TA Takeover!

Our team is fully refreshed from Spring Break and ready to take these next six weeks by storm as tournament weekend is fastly approaching!

This week's class was run by our illustrious TA’s, Kaitlyn Coons & Shane Taylor. We started by welcoming back the team and sharing our stories from our week apart.

Donna Diggs said, “I spent over 108 hours in a car with my boyfriend traveling to some of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. I got to swim in the ocean, pet two sharks, see dolphins in the wild, ride roller coasters at SeaWorld, experience Buc-ee’s for the first time, see the oldest city in America, and close it out by traveling to Chicago and seeing the green river! Definitely the best week of my life and I’d do it all again in a heartbeat!”

Madison Moore said, “I went to Gatlinburg, Tennessee and stayed in a house with 90 people from my college church group! We went white water rafting, hiking and shopping. It was wonderful!”

Amber Smith said, I went to Nashville, Tennessee and went to the Country Music Hall of Fame and spent time with friends.”

As you can see, our Macker Family got some well deserved rest and relaxation!

Then it was the Team Bonding and Fundraising teams turn to shine! From cool ways to raise money for the tournament to bonding through those experiences, both teams came to the table with so many amazing and inventive ideas. We got the complete rundown on our food fundraisers that are confirmed and coming up! We have provided the flyers for you all should you be in the area and looking for an excuse to get your favorite foods.

There were also new ideas for fundraising brought to the table. They were brought to the entirety of the group to get more feedback which brought us to our pros and cons list written by our lovely TA, Kaitlyn. Check out her note taking pose!

Our team bonding team had ideas that closely complimented our fundraising days! They brought up “chalking” which is a method of getting information out onto a college campus (where there is a lot of foot traffic) by writing on the sidewalks in chalk. You will find us around campus, during one of the sunny days, chalking it up and becoming closer as a team!

As always, we end the night with dancing. And tonight’s dance routine had a little puppy love included. Our Macker crew loves our doodle Gus!

Until next week!
