WEEK 15 - The Time has Come!

Wow! Tournament weekend came so fast! Tonight, was our last class before everything we have prepared for finally happens. Scott, Patty and Mike joined us for our final night to talk more about the tournament and different things to expect (especially with this interesting weather that has been forecasted).

We had some amazing TA news to share as well!

Shane graduated from a TA in our class to the Macker National Staff as a Foreman for our tournament! Yay Shane! We were all so lucky to have you guiding us for this year's tournament.

Kaitlyn, who has been writing her thesis to graduate from her Master’s program, successfully defended. We are so proud of Kaitlyn for being so dedicated to her education, the Macker team and teaching her students.

We love our TA’s and couldn't be proud or more thankful! WE LOVE YOU!

We had our final bracket challenge with Keegan vs. Roy. Since the beginning of this class, we have all taken turns rolling the dice in pursuit of being our class bracket winner. Roy started off, seemingly low, at five. Next up was Keegan, she rolled… a FOUR! Such a close final bracket game! Roy took home the title of bracket winner, owner of some copper dice and an umbrella for that “interesting weather” I was talking about earlier!

Due to the possible rain, a lot of us stayed behind to help with taping the courts before the surfaces got wet! Mike Fuller and half of the team went to one side of the courts and Shane and the other half of our team went to the other side. We taped, stomped, and galloped to make sure the courts were not going ANYWHERE. Mike Fuller himself named our very own Jordan as Jordan “The Foot” DeLisle for her incredible tape holding skills. Mike also said this is the best team of tapers he has ever had! Add it to the record-breaking list!

Now, this is our final blog, and as your blogger, I just want to say thank you for reading and I hope you loved it as much as I did! I am a senior pursuing an internship in event management and I am so grateful to have this tournament as my final farewell to Finch Fieldhouse and my academic career at CMU.

WE CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU SOON!

STAY FIRED UP!
